European Teaching Tour: Hamburg, Germany

Every year Rinpoche travelling with Autumn Teaching Tour, an annual part of Chödpa Lama Rinpoche’s teaching schedule, in which he is invited by his centres in the countries across Europe – France, Germany, Spain and England.

This year once again we are very fortunate to have Chödpa Lama Rinpoche visiting Germany. Rinpoche will be with us in Hamburg for a week at the beginning of October. As part of his Teaching Tour Program he will be giving a public talk on Refuge and Four Thoughts that turn mind away from suffering , he will continue five-year cycle teachings on The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen, and Group Healing Ceremony. 

Program

Friday 6th October

Teachings “The 5 aspects of Refuge” and Refuge Ceremony
19:00 – 21:00

For anyone wishing to deepen their understanding and experience of taking refuge with the Buddha. 

Saturday 7th October 

Public Teachings:  “Training on the 4 thoughts which turn the mind away from suffering” 
10:00 – 13:00

Reflecting on our precious human birth, impermanence, karma, and suffering helps free our minds from the unnecessary mental suffering which we encounter on a daily basis.

Teachings on the 5th and 6th song of “The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen”
15:00 – 18:00

This year, Rinpoche will continue to teach on “The Complete Way to Awakening” and will give a commentary on the following two songs of “The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen: A Commentary on the Quintessence of Spiritual Practice, Direct Instructions of the Great Compassionate” by the Yogi and poet of the 17th century, Karma Chagmey Rinpoche.

“The union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen” is taught over a five-year cycle. To receive the teachings of the 4th and 5th years, it will be necessary to have received the Initiation of the Chöd.

This third year of teaching on “The Union of Mahamudra and Dzogchen” is OPEN TO ALL.

Sunday 8th October

Chöd Healing Ceremony and Chöd Empowerment* 
10:00 – 13:00

Traditional Tibetan Healing Ceremony is beneficial to all those who have physical or mental illnesses, it is clears the blockages of the karmic debts of previous lives, dissipates obstacles, purifies negative impacts, dissipates harmful influences …

Chöd literally means “cutting”. It breaks the obstacles and obscurations, sometimes called “demons” or “gods”. Examples of demons are ignorance, anger and, in particular, dualist perception of the self. 

Chöd Empowerment is a fully immersive Vajrayana buddhist empowerment with a commitment to practice. It is open only for the practitioners who wish to practice Chöd. New practitioners require to take refuge in The Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) in order to begin practice.

* If there are enough attending a Chö Empowerment will be given in the morning, please contact us if you are interested

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees of Empowerment must have taken refuge. (Rinpoche will give refuge on Friday to those who haven’t yet taken it.)
