European Teaching Tour: Biarritz, France

Every year Rinpoche travelling with Autumn Teaching Tour, an annual part of Chödpa Lama Rinpoche’s teaching schedule, in which he is invited by his centres in the countries across Europe – France, Germany, Spain and England.

This year once again we are very fortunate to have Chödpa Lama Rinpoche visiting Biarritz. Rinpoche will be giving a weekend of Buddhist Teachings and Empowerments, perform Group Healing Ceremony and Ceremony of Increasing Fortune.

Saturday, 9 November

Cutting Through Ego – An introduction to the Tibetan Buddhist Practice of Chöd
19:00 – 21:00

 

Sunday, 10 November

Increasing Good Fortune Ceremony – Riwo Sangcho 
10:00 – 12:00

Increasing Good Fortune Ceremony or Mountain of Pure Offerings (Riwo Sangcho) is a ritual that uses the smoke of burnt offerings to create vast offerings for enlightened beings, local deities, land guardians and the all beings within the cycle of worldly existence.

This blessing accumulates vast merit, clears away obstacles, increases wealth energy and improves health, while clearing karmic debts and healing the environment.

Attendants should dress in clean white or bright colors clothes and bring offerings such a milk, a honey, an yogurt, a flowers, a fruits etc.  

Chenrezig: The Buddha of Compassion
13:30 – 17:00

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokitesvara, “One who looks with unwavering eye,” is the most revered of all Bodhisattva, embodying the compassion of all Buddhas.

Rinpoche will give a teachings on the Practice of Noble Chenrezig.

 

Monday, 11 November

Chöd Healing Ceremony and Chöd Empowerment
10:00 – 13:00

Traditional Tibetan Healing Ceremony is beneficial to all those who have physical or mental illnesses, it is clears the blockages of the karmic debts of previous lives, dissipates obstacles, purifies negative impacts, dissipates harmful influences …

Chöd literally means “cutting”. It breaks the obstacles and obscurations, sometimes called “demons” or “gods”. Examples of demons are ignorance, anger and, in particular, dualist perception of the self. 

Chöd Empowerment is a fully immersive Vajrayana buddhist empowerment. It is open for the practitioners who wish to practice Chöd. Others may receive it as a blessing.

PLEASE NOTE: Rinpoche will give refuge on Monday to those who haven’t yet taken it. New practitioners require to take refuge in The Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) in order to begin practice.

It’s necessary and open only for all those who received Empowerment.

 

Tuesday – Wednesday, 12 – 13 November

Mo Divination 

Personal Mo Divination, a tradition Tibetan way for answering questions and providing methods of healing, and one-to-one session will be given on request.
