Practices & Instructors
Throughout the year, the Machig Ling Center offers a wide range of disciplines to nourish the body, mind, and spirit.
Meditations, Buddhist teachings, breathwork yoga, various types of yoga, qigong, tai chi, and many other practices are offered weekly in a spirit of kindness and presence.
Courses, retreats, training sessions, and workshops enrich this vibrant dynamic, open to all, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
In a setting conducive to inner listening and transformation, each activity becomes a path to greater clarity, freedom, and profound joy.
Venerable Chodpa Lama Rinpoche, director and spiritual guide of the Machig Ling Center, embodies the impetus behind this project. For over thirty years, our beloved Rinpoche has been transmitting the Buddha’s teachings throughout the West with great compassion and authentic wisdom. With his loving presence and unwavering commitment, Rinpoche has accompanied many beings on the path to enlightenment, offering guidance and support to those seeking to cultivate peace, wisdom, and liberation.
JEAN-PHILIPPE
Meditation Instructor
With 30 years of practice alongside traditional masters and having completed a three-year Buddhist retreat, Jean-Philippe Gillot, a disciple of Chopa Lama Rinpoche, shares a vibrant and embodied approach to meditation, which he considers an art of emptiness, presence, and inner freedom.
In his view, meditation is not about “doing” something, but about becoming familiar with the moment, until attention becomes natural, fluid, and silent. It is in this profound ease, this unconditional acceptance of life as it is, that true meditation is born.
DENIS
Meditation & Yoga Instructor
Denis is co-founder of the Mindfulness Center in Perpignan and the Machig Ling Buddhist Center in Rivel. He has been walking the path of Tibetan Buddhist wisdom for over twenty years, closely guided by his teacher, Chödpa Lama Rinpoche.
It was during a six-year Buddhist retreat that an understanding of the Dharma – the law of phenomena – became deeply rooted in him, permanently imprinting the power of presence, compassion and inner transformation.
