Jean-Philippe Gillot

A Path to Meditation

With 30 years of practice alongside traditional masters and having completed a three-year Buddhist retreat, Jean-Philippe Gillot, a disciple of Chopa Lama Rinpoche, shares a vibrant and embodied approach to meditation, which he considers an art of emptiness, presence, and inner freedom.

In his view, meditation is not about “doing” something, but about becoming familiar with the moment, until attention becomes natural, fluid, and silent. It is in this profound ease, this unconditional acceptance of life as it is, that true meditation is born.

“Nothing to understand, nothing to judge, just be.”

Meditation is a response to human suffering. It frees us from the illusion that our happiness depends on external circumstances. True change comes from the mind itself, and from a clearer, more open, and luminous inner posture.

The practice begins with a relaxation of the body, breath, and mind, respecting silence and posture. Over time, it extends to all moments of life: walking, talking, working… until it becomes a stable, free, and peaceful state of being.

Through the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, Jean-Philippe guides each person on a path of inner transformation, carried by the wisdom of the heart and the living breath of tradition.
